Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
- Previous Knowledge of TEKS Curriculum (a plus)
- Tutoring Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Teaching Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Teaching Certification (Preferred)
- Strong Math Background (Required)
- Authorized to work in US
Job summary
Math-A-Matics Tutoring, LLC is seeking Math Interventionists. Math-A-Matics has several grant-based and district-specific programs launching throughout charter schools which require instructors/tutors in Math Interventionists to consistently be available for their weekly assignment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Attend training sessions, pass content assessment, and delivers designated instructional models and strategies mathematics to eligible students through utilization of Math-A-Matics Tutoring materials and educational strategies.
- Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
- Ensure supervision of student at all times, including escorting students safely to and from Math-A-Matics classroom or to mobile/trailer classroom.
- Establish and maintain student forms and files as required by Math-A-Matics, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
- Establish and maintain a positive customer relationship with classroom teachers and principals, including providing achievement objectives and updated approved schedules of services.
- Attend and document conferences/meetings/trainings with Math-A-Matics Supervisors, classroom teachers, principals, and parents as required by Math-A-Matics, local, state, and/or federal agencies.
- Maintain inventory of educational materials and supplies.

- Ability to relate with students who have various academic levels and needs
- Must be results oriented
- Have access to a computer
- Dependable (limited absentees)
- Have the availability to work school hours
- Required to pass a criminal background check and fingerprinting
- Must have reliable transportation
