Math Intervention Specialist High School

Global Concepts Charter High School is seeking a 1.0 FTE Math Intervention Specialist to work with High School Students who require strategic intervention in small group and individualized settings.  The focus of the teacher is to develop student centered system interventions that effectively work to close the achievement gap for studens who need additional support in Math. 

• Meet individual needs and motivate students
• Responding to data to meet needs of all students
• Develop lesson planas and uses instructional materials suitable for verbal and/orvisual instruction with a wide range of intellectual, physical and emotional maturity.
• Monitoring students progress towards goals through regular assessment practices
• Establishing and maintaing standards of student behavior required to achieve effective participation and leaarning in all activities and lessons.
• Collecting and assembling current researchand best strategies for mathematics and making them available to classroom teachers.
