The Materials Planner will have strong communication with internal and external teams to provide support to Engineering, Supply Chain, and Manufacturing to assist in coordinating & organizing requisition/make requests, requisition placement, placement of planned make/buys, work order MBOM creation, and directly support material needs for production.

Essential Functions:

• Coordinate, organize, and execute requisition requests through requisition placement
• Material scheduling, coordination and creation/modification of both independent and dependent demands
• Tracking of material promise dates in coordination with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and ARV Partners.
• Conduct and provide planning reporting and analysis, tracking material shortages for job orders, kitting, sub-assemblies, and installations/stations based on requirements.
• Align demands and promise dates; coordinate material release schedules with Manufacturing.
• Generate bills of material for MRP system from top level vehicle BOM to piece parts reporting to subassemblies and base material demands.
• Provides input to Make/Buy decisions for material & components in coordination with engineering and manufacturing.
• MRP planning in support of MBOM structure and development.
• BOM development and coordinating changes for accuracy within ARV including ARV partners.
• Coordinate with supply chain, engineering, manufacturing, ARV partners, and quality to plan timely processing of change requests in both the MBOM as a CM function and updating of demands to include procurement, transfer of material, internal make orders, or coordinating Outside Service Provider (OSP) vendor requisitions and scope.
• Coordinate with MBOM Team, Engineering, and Manufacturing on material/demand/CM requests.
• Processes both initial release and change requests into Planned Buys or Planned Orders for all program material.

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (as demonstrated through experience, training and/or testing)

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management or relevant experience.
• Ability to work independently/autonomously with clear understanding of department and program priorities.
• Detailed experience with material planning, demands, requisition placement, PO tracking
• Experience with ERP software like Oracle, SAP, Deltek, etc.
• Experience with the creation of discrete jobs, purchase requisitions, Master Items, Bills of Materials, checking material requirements, creating material requirements on Discrete Jobs, checking Supply/Demand, understanding how to build a work order structure that mirrors and supports vehicle BOM structure.
• Soft pegging, hard pegging, and an understanding of MRP planning
• Good planning and organizational skills
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; gather and analyze information and maintain confidentiality.
• Positive attitude and flexible approach to work
• Ability to work as a contributing member of multi-disciplinary teams
• Ability to solve ad hoc issues
• Ability to review designs in a CAD system, including interrogating models and drawings.
• Computer skills with Window-based PC systems & applicable software (Microsoft Office, Outlook, etc.)
• Familiar with Configuration Management Analyst duties/principles and can support configuration management in setting up BOMs and/or processing material change request

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Deltek Costpoint or equivalent ERP system
• Working knowledge of technical/Manufacturing installation and sequencing
• Experience in Fabrication and/or Assembly
• Understanding of design release activities and engineering changes and their effect on the MBOM
• Solid knowledge with technical standards, manufacturing engineering concepts, principles, and theories
• Understanding of Teamcenter
• Experience with defense contracts and DCMA audits

Education:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management or relevant experience.

Experience:

• Desire a candidate with 10 to 12 years? of experience in Planning or Bachelor?s degree in Business or Supply Chain Management with 4-years? experience in Planning.

Background Prerequisites:

• Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification, reference checks and controlled substance testing.
