We are seeking a Materials Coordinator for our Van Wert, Ohio Plant.
Summary: Perform all functions of Materials department including inventory, shipping and receiving
Essential Job Functions:
- Managing, motivating and developing the shipping/receiving team.
- Analyzing materials and inventory to improve established processes and KPIs.
- Ensuring accurate information in the QAD system.
- Ongoing communication with customers and suppliers (written and verbal).
- Daily production input to QAD.
- Daily production schedule updating.
- Daily updating of shipping schedule.
- Regular review of inventories for shipping requirements.
- Regular entry of scrap/rework from QAD HOLD tickets.
- Track receipts for receiving, input into QAD and spreadsheet.
- Schedule all outgoing material shipments.
- Work with hourly shipping staff on needed change to paperwork.
- Review shipping paperwork after shipment to verify loads are properly posted.
- Maintain shipping logs in Excel spreadsheets.
- Maintain weekly material backflush records.
- Ensures warehouse organization and housekeeping is maintained, adhere to FIFO principals, and assists with inventory control activities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Materials, Supply Chain or Warehousing.
- Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively.
- Bi-lingual in Spanish is a bonus.
- Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft, Excel, Word, etc.
- Ability to pick up usage of QAD systems.
