Materials Coordinator/Inventory Clerk

Position Duties & Responsibilities

Receiving/Shipping Clerk

  • Process inbound materials and package/prepare outgoing materials
  • Manage receiving activities such as material verification and packing/unpacking items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards.
  • Organize equipment and materials to support service events defined by a service work order or requisition.
  • Maintain inventory levels of floor stock hardware bins outside of cage
  • Maintain receiving area cleanliness and organization (Door to Cage)

Inventory Clerk

  • Issue materials to manufacturing, service and engineering as prompted by approved requisitions and work orders.
  • Maintain accurate inventory counts for all stores locations by executing regular cycle counts.
  • Owner of inventory transactions to support manufacturing and engineering.
  • Assist field employees with returns, testing of instruments and preparing shipments.

Qualifications

  • Knowledgeable with MRP systems.
  • Listens well and can complete tasks with verbal instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong organizational, time management and problem solving skills.
  • Dependable and consistent attendance
  • Follows workplace safety practices.
  • Enthusiastic about change and continuous improvement.

Education & Experience

  • Forklift experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years' manufacturing inventory and materials experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent

Environmental/Physical Demands

  • Must be able to lift/carry materials up to a maximum of 60lbs.
  • Communicate efficiently and effectively in person, and complete required paperwork.
  • The employee is frequently required to talk and listen.
  • Requires extended periods of crawling, climbing, bending, pulling, working in tight places, walking, and standing, up to 100% of a workday.
  • Requires working in a fast pace staging, production and manufacturing environment.

  • The employee is occasionally exposed to acidic or caustic chemicals. A respirator may be required at times.
  • The noise level in the work environment varies from loud to quiet, with hearing protection provided.
