Job Description and Duties

This position is located at the DMV Headquarters in Sacramento.

Under the general direction of the Warehouse Manager II, the Materials and Stores Supervisor (M&S Sup) acts as the immediate supervisor for the Materials and Stores Specialist, Warehouse Worker, and Truck Driver classifications, and takes charge of the efficient daily completion of all tasks and functions. The M&S Sup duties include training, supervising, directing, and coordinating the daily activities of the employees; ensuring that all trucks and materials handling equipment are safe and well-maintained; coordinating all reports and investigations involving discrepancies in shipments from vendors; managing the discipline of employees; and communicating effectively with all staff levels.

Department Information

The Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is a recognized leader in public service and has existed for over 100 years. The DMV is responsible for registering approximately 36 million vehicles in California, and serving 30 million driver license and identification card holders, collecting over $11 billion in annual revenue.
