- Maintain experimental and computer systems to enable the successful completion of research.
- Develop and implement processes for the advanced manufacturing of composite systems, including the optimization of such processes.
- Contribute to the execution of projects related to advanced composites and manufacturing. Lead and contribute to project reviews, preparation of slides and other similar media, travel to assess the state of the art.
- Recruit undergraduate students into the Mechanical and Aerospace graduate programs.
- Contribute to the submission of proposals to funding agencies such as NSF, DOE, NASA and similar.
- Contribute to publications and presentations in conferences and publications in journals. Travel to conferences and workshops. Contribute to workshops at USC.
MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Civil Engineering, Physics, or any related field. Previous experience (>3 years) in composite industry or similar.
U.S. citizens, U.S. permanent residents, and foreign nationals eligible for International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) licensure are eligible to apply and must comply with ITAR and CUI project requirements.
Knowledge of polymers and composite materials. Experience with Automated Fiber Placement systems. Knowledge of adhesive materials
