JOB SUMMARY
The Material Handling Specialist is responsible for unloading and inspecting goods, comparing product received to packing slips, stocking product, and replenishing bins.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Incumbent must have the skills, ability, and judgment to perform the following essential job duties and responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Operate pallet jack, hand truck, and forklift in accordance with OSHA and BME regulations to unload and move product.
- Count and verify the product and quantities received match the packing slips.
- Inspect freight for possible damage/missing items and if found, notate on delivery form, and notify purchasing.
- Break down product onto separate pallets and stretch wrap the material to secure.
- Move and stock material within the warehouse to its assigned bin locations.
- Tag and label product prior to putting them into their stocking locations.
- Ensure the warehouse is neat, clean, and safe by conducting operations in a proper manner.
- Abide by all safety regulations set forth by OSHA.
- Prepare the receiving dock and warehouse for incoming orders.
- Assist in picking orders as needed.
- Perform all other related duties as directed by supervisor.

- Willingness to be open to learn and take on new responsibilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The requirements listed below are representative of the physical ability required.
- Ability to bend, twist, stretch, push, pull, carry, and lift 50-75 lbs.
- Comfortable standing and or walking for up to 10 hours.
- Willing and able to operate powered industrial equipment including hand trucks, pallet jacks, and sit-down forklifts. Training and certifications will be provided by Blue Maintain.
Working Conditions:
- Work is performed primarily in the warehouse.
- Lighting is artificial.
- Equipment used includes standard safety equipment i.e. gloves, glasses, dust masks, as well as a tape measure.
- Individual will have some exposure to dust, noise, heat, cold and fumes.
- Physical demands include walking, standing, bending over, crouching, balancing, pushing, and pulling, repetitive use of both hands, grasping, lifting up to 30lbs., driving forklifts and other equipment, and being around other work equipment and machinery; and occasionally sitting, reaching overhead, and kneeling.
- Hours are primarily seven days a week/ 8 hours per day with various shifts and some overtime required.

In addition to base salary, this job may be eligible to participate in our corporate discretionary bonus program, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. The base pay range for this position is $19 - $22
