Job Description
- Maintaining the cleanliness around the presses and compound holding area.
- Sweep and vacuum around and near each press as messes are made
- Ensure area around gaylord and compound holding areas are clear
- Clear flash bins and remove excess flash from surrounding area
- Consolidate empty gaylords, put recyclables in the compactor and trash in the dumpsters.
- Movement of all compounds to and from the compound staging area to the designated press.
- Compound is only requested, once the gaylord has reached the designated low point,
- Communicate to the perspective shift warehousing associates’ compound is needed.
- Once compound is in staging area, Cut a small incision into the lid of the gaylord
- Insert the vacuum loaders hose and use the empty gaylord and compound bag for flash consolidation
- Ensure the hopper/vacuum systems are filled with the correct color compound.
- Ensuring the compounds are not mixed with contaminates (other color flashes, wood, debris etc.….).
- When hand loading compound into the hoppers, utilize the designated bucket for the color.
- Flash and scrap record removal and storage in the designated area.
- Gaylords with flash and scrapped records should be wrapped and moved to the designated area (area may change).
- Assist maintenance in color changes.
- When maintenance is changing colors, remove the current color
- Return that color back into it original hopper (Returning color to a gaylord from a Press during color change and manually loading a hopper is the only times the lid should be opened entirely)
- Take direction in moving all staging pallets to the designated area for that title.
- Take direction from the team lead/supervisor on where to put pallets with corresponding artist.
- Returning to and from break on-time and ready to work.
- Breaks start once you have exited the pressing bay, it is your responsibility to return to and from breaks within the break time
- Returning from break means you are back from break and have resumed work not walking up during minutes after.
- Assist leads in any other materials task that may come up.
