Material Handler/Shipping And Receiving Large Parts

We are looking for a material handler/forklift operator to safely load, unload and move heavy and Large Parts at our facility. You will be primarily operating a forklift but also responsible for material handling, identification and tracking. Machine or fabrication shop experience is desired. Heavy part lifting and moving is required. Able to use overhead cranes safely. The goal will be to ensure that material and products will always be at the right place to help the shop achieve and maintain maximum efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Unload materials from incoming vehicles and deliver them to assigned places
• Locate and move parts to pallets or crates and prepare for shipment
• Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies
• Transport raw materials to machine workstations
• Assist shipping with paperwork and tracking to ensure the right parts are sent to the right customer and facility
• Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance
• Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs
• Comply with company policies and legal guidelines
• Help maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities

Skills

• Proven experience as forklift operator
• Ability to use overhead cranes and other material handling equipment.
• Attention to detail and familiarity with moving heavy industrial equipment
• Excellent physical condition and coordination
• Valid certification to operate forklifts
• High school diploma

PayRange:Depends on experience
