We are currently seeking a Forklift Operator to join our team. Because our company is rapidly growing and we're expanding our warehouse facility, we need a competent individual who is qualified for operating a forklift. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma and the proven ability to work independently in a safe, accurate and timely manner. Other qualifications include the ability to lift 50 pounds overhead and a strong knowledge of safety regulations and punctuality.
Responsibilities:
- Drive a forklift.
- Implement safety procedures as per OSHA regulations.
- Coordinate with other employees to complete an objective.
- Ensure that the company's inventory is properly maintained.
- Follow standard operating procedures.
- Operate a forklift.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Read work order or follows oral instructions to ascertain materials or containers to be moved.
- Opens containers.
- Loads and unloads materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, and shelves by hand.
- Loads materials into vehicles and installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent shifting or damage in transit.
- Conveys materials from storage or build station to designated area.
- Counts, weighs, and records number of units of materials moved or handled on work orders.
- Attaches identifying tags or labels to materials or marks information on cases, or other containers.
- Loads truck for Truck Operator.
- Stacks or assembles materials into bundles and bands bundles together.
- Lifts heavy objects by hand, and cleans work area, machines, and equipment to assist machine operators.
- Operates fork truck or electric hoist to assist in loading or moving materials and products.

While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee is frequently required to walk. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
