The Material Handler/Driver provides customer satisfactions in the accurate processing of customer orders, shipping, receiving intra-company transfers and inventory counts. This position also serves as back-up to the driver position.
Essential Functions:
\u2022 Operate a forklift, two wheel hand cart, and scales.
\u2022 Retrieve stock to fulfill orders.
\u2022 Check outgoing and incoming shipments for accuracy.
\u2022 Check orders for accuracy.
\u2022 Inspect goods for defects and report damaged or defective material/product to supervisor or
sales staff; no damaged product is to be sent out.
\u2022 Place compiled/completed orders in appropriate designated areas.
\u2022 Monitor movement and progress of orders to insure timely delivery.
\u2022 Order picking, packing, wrapping, labeling product and shrink wrapping orders that are
palletized according to standard operating procedure, making note to follow any special
instructions on orders with customer specific requests.
\u2022 Keep work area clean, safe, organized and maintained by following the 6 S's (Sort, Straighten, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety).
\u2022 Load finished product/orders onto trucks. Transport stock from storage to warehouse or where needed. Load or unload material inbound or outbound.
\u2022 Open bales, crates and other containers.
\u2022 Assist in counting of physical inventory.
\u2022 Wear the proper safety equipment and abide by safety rules at all times.
\u2022 Make customer deliveries as needed to back-up driver position.

Work Environment:
This job operates in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses warehouse equipment such as forklift, hand trucks, box cutters, and tape dispensers.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time position. Typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Some flexibility in hours is allowed, but the employee must be available during the "core" work hours of 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Overtime is required as dictated by the work load.

Required Education and Experience:
\u2022 High school diploma or equivalent.
\u2022 Valid Driver's License.
\u2022 Clear Driving Record
\u2022 One to two years' previous warehouse experience.
\u2022 Forklift Certified.
