Position Summary
Safely Operate roll clamps and forklift to transport materials received or shipped while maintaining proper logs, paperwork records, and inventories specific to goods moved. Read and understand job tickets, roll stock reports, finished goods reports, raw material reports, purchase orders while working with other work areas to supply machines with raw materials to ensure they are running smoothly. Pull and wrap finished goods pallets delivered from production area and route pallets to correct staging per delivery destination and/or outside warehouses. Confirms final truck shipments are staffed and baler room is maintained.
Training-Train new Material Handler team members. Train Production team members on Forklift, Roll Clamp, Electric Pallet Jacks, and Pallet Flippers.
Lead-Effectively lead a team of 6 Material Handlers with the direction of Shipping Coordinator, Materials Planner, Logistics Supervisor, Production Supervisors and other management.
Backup Shipping Coordinator-Provide support when the Shipping Coordinator has vacation. This will require one-on-one time training with the Shipping Coordinator.
Pay/Schedule
- $25.00 per hour +$1 per hour for Trainer/Lead position once training is signed off.
- Working Hours Monday-Friday 5:55am-2pm with flexibility for overtime.
- Training Schedule Monday-Friday 5:55am-2pm. 2 months train as Material Handler and Trainer, 2 months train as Lead of Team, and 1 month train as backup for Shipping Coordinator. Training can be more or less dependent on experience of team member.
