Material Handler/ Production Control

Material Handler

The material handler will be responsible for the day-to-day material movement, all lines/departments. This position will work closely with scheduling, plant managers, line leads, purchasing and receiving. All shop loads are to be reviewed daily to ensure the materials are available for the line as jobs are scheduled. Any materials not available are communicated to the plant managers, production scheduling, and at times purchasing in order for schedules to be adjusted, keeping the lines moving.

Position requirements

· Responsible for reviewing shop loads daily and gathering materials per line.

· Responsible for working with all intercompany departments to ensure material shortages are communicated timely.

· Manage fastener Kanban.

· Manage frame pack Kanban.

· Properly make move transactions in CSI for material line deliveries.

· The candidate must be detail oriented and have the following:

o Ability to read and understand measuring devices.

o Ability to read and understand shop reports.

o Ability to multi-task.

o Above average oral and written communication skills.

· Working knowledge of ERP systems and Microsoft suite software applications.

· Works well across organizational boundaries.

· Other duties as assigned.
