Position Overview:
This Material Handler is responsible for supporting the Materials group to achieve plant distribution goals and sustain operational efficiency through material handling duties. This includes moving material throughout the facility to maintain proper flow, distribution, and accuracy of materials and supplies in the entire plant (inside/outside)

In this function you will:
- Check materials and/or products to be shipped against a variety of documentation, including freight bills, packing slips, purchase orders, etc.
- Package, label, and seal a variety of containers.
- Use a variety of hand trucking and weighing equipment.
- Maintain complete and accurate records of transactions.
- Load and unload a variety of vehicles, using hand carts and fork trucks upon certification.
- Deliver parts and supplies to and from stocking areas.
Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
- Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Windows-based software
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship
- No relocation is available for this position. Only candidates that currently reside within 50 miles of the Carol Stream, IL facility will be considered
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience operating fork trucks or other powered industrial vehicles. Upon hire, must pass forklift examination and operate forklift in a safe manner.
- Prior experience with the following software is helpful: Excel, Oracle, FCS, WMS, Premium Freight Database, UPS Website and Outlook
- Proficiency in inventory transaction integrity
- Prior experience in a manufacturing or assembly operation preferred
- Good problem-solving skills/Strong verbal communication skills/Strong teamwork skills
- Good attention to detail
- Able to follow-through on assigned tasks
Position Criteria:
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs. on a regular basis
- Able to stand and walk
- Operate lifting aids and/or overhead hoists to manipulate and move parts
- Be cross-trained and cover peers' absences (including service packer)
- Assist in on-the-job training for new employees.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records by completing the forklift safety audit at the start of every shift
