SalaryJob Summary: Parts Picking, Tagging received parts, placing received items on the shelves, Moving parts, machines, assemblies within the building as necessary.
Essential Duties/Responsibilities: Include, but not limited to:
- Assure that all safety procedures and policies are followed.
- Put product away in assigned locations with proper tags attached.
- Distribute received goods to machines or shelves
- Accurately pull, count, and issue product from racks for delivery to various production areas.
- Load and unload trucks as necessary.
- Pack and/or crate parts for shipment
- Crating
- Inventory checking / counting, annually and as required
- Assist in implementation of Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Provide backup for other areas of the department as necessary
- Make local delivery/pick up runs using company truck
Education/Experience: Include, but not limited to:
- High School Education or Equivalent
- Some Warehouse Experience Required
- Lift /Fork Truck experience preferred
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Include, but not limited to:
- Ability to operate a Forklift Truck in a safe manner
- Load and unload trucks as necessary.
- Ability able to comprehend verbal and written instructions.
- General warehouse experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to prioritize and juggle multiple task
- Computer literate
- Knowledge using MS Office products
- Clear vehicle driving record
Working Conditions: Typical manufacturing facility conditions.
- Indoors (95%) and outdoors (5%) working conditions.
- Facility is heated in winter, but not air conditioned in summer.
- Employee must be able to stand on concrete floors for a minimum of eight hours. Kneeling, squatting, bending over and standing for long periods of time may be required to perform assigned tasks.
- Safety steel-toed shoes and safety glasses are required
- Long pants and a sleeved shirt (short sleeve at a minimum) are required.
