SalaryJOB PURPOSE
Associates work in a warehouse/distribution environment that includes shipping, receiving, inventory or returns to ensure customer products are received, picked, packed, and shipped in accordance with Isuzu requirements on a daily basis.
PRINCIPAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
WAREHOUSING 80%
- Meet or exceed customer requirements in the area of order fulfillment, receiving product, quality, and inventory control.
- Follow PDC procedures and work processes.
- Meet established departmental and PDC deadlines.
ADDITIONAL DUTIES 20%
- Perform quality audits as directed.
- Cross train to fill in for other work groups as needed.
- Operate power equipment in certain job functions within the PDC.
- Maintain a safe, clean work area and completion of daily housekeeping assignments.
- Other duties assigned by management.
EDUCATIONALandEXPERIENCEREQUIREMENTS/ SKILLS and ABILITIES
- Must possess a minimum high school education or GED.
- Experience in a warehouse/stock environment is preferred.
- Must be able to read, write, comprehend and communicate written or verbal instructions, policies and procedures.
- Willingness and ability to learn to use various warehouse equipment such as Fork Truck, Reach Truck, Pallet Jack, RF Scanners, Office Equipment etc. is preferred.
- Knowledge of day-to-day operational structures and work flow.
- Open minded person with ability to easily adjust to a rapidly changing environment.
- Energetic with positive approach to challenges.
- Ability to work with various departments and other team members in a professional and personable manner.
- Dependable, reliable and able to work independently or as directed.
PHYSICAL WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work environment is characteristic of the average warehouse/distribution facility. Noise level is usually high. Temperatures change according to the outside environment with dust and dirt filtering through. Position requires repeated lifting. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individual with a disability to perform the essential functions. Refer to the "Physical Requirements" for some specific physical abilities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
The employee must be able to access, enter, and retrieve data using a computer. Requires frequent lifting of average objects (up to 50 lbs.) and occasional lifting of heavy (over 50 lbs.). Position will be exposed to a warehouse environment involving dust, heat, cold, and noise. Involves standing for long periods of time and high amounts of walking, reaching, pushing, pulling, kneeling or stooping, manual dexterity and use of hands; rare periods of sitting or climbing.
