How do you fit in?
The MCP is responsible to work independently to transport raw materials from the staging area to production or mix room; transport finished goods from production to staging area; stretch wrap and identify product. Accurately calculate mix ratios and prepare mixes; keep hoppers loaded; prepare labels and inventory tickets; record production and scrap information on work orders.
- Review scheduled work orders to prepare requisitions for materials; supplies needed.
- Ensure the correct materials are received and batches for during as well as batches for mixing are prepared when needed.
- Keep hoppers filled and labeled with contents and percentages of color or regrinds used.
- Review and confirm inventory tickets on finished goods ready to leave production area.
- Transport finished goods to staging area; stretch wrap and properly identify product.
- Complete/sign and attach inventory ticket to wrapped product.
- Empty grinder buckets; clean hoppers and grinders for material and color changes.
- Weigh scrap and regrind. Give information to operators. Dispose of scrap materials.
- Prepare move, regrind/mix tickets for products being returned from production area.
- Transport products and material to staging area.
- Complete/sign and attach move and regrind/mix tickets to materials.
Do you have what it takes?
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English. Ability to write routine reports in English. Ability to speak effectively with company employees and supervisors in English.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
- Basic computer skills.
- Strong leadership and training skills
- Ability to operate a Pallet Jack and Forklift.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift up to 50 pounds and frequently move/manipulate heavy containers weighing up to 200 pounds while using a lift or hoist. The employee must frequently exert pressure to tighten and loosen bolts on die lip and die. The employee will be exposed to frequent bending, stooping and climbing.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is seasonally and moderately exposed to humid conditions and heat. The employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, the risk of electrical shock and exposure to extreme molten plastic temperature. The noise level in the work environment is loud.
