Material Handler

Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and efficient movement of materials within our warehouse. This is a vital role in our distribution center, and we are looking for someone who is experienced in order picking, materials handling, and warehouse management systems.

Responsibilities:
- Utilize order picking equipment to accurately pick and build orders
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Receive incoming shipments and verify their contents
- Inspect materials for damage or defects
- Organize and maintain inventory in designated storage areas
- Prepare materials for shipment by packaging, labeling, and securing them appropriately
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and company safety policies
- Collaborate with team members to meet production goals
- Maintain a clean and organized work area

Skills:
- Proven experience as a Material Handler or similar role
- Proficiency in using warehouse management systems
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and operate material handling equipment safely
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of shipping and receiving procedures
- Familiarity with distribution center operations

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
