Summary: This position is responsible for loading or moving finished products and/or raw material to designated areas as directed by immediate supervision. Loads or unloads trucks and puts materials away as required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Includes the following:
- Responsible for loading and unloading material onto or from pallets, racks, and shelves.
- Loads material onto trucks for delivery to customer.
- Pulls inventory from warehouse staging area and prepares for shipment to customer.
- Delivers new coils to Mill Operators when needed.
- Unloads raw material from trucks.
- Installs strapping, bracing, or padding to prevent damage to product.
- Other duties as assigned by the department supervisor/ Manager.
- Using a scanner, and staging/checking loads
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities
- Empty trash hoppers.
- Empty and record scrap steel in recycle containers.
- Understands and communicates the importance of good housekeeping and working in a safe manner.
Qualification Requirements
Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or GED equivalent; 1 or more years’ experience on a tow motor in a manufacturing environment.
Skills: The basic ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide multiple digit numbers. Have a basic understanding of geometry. Ability to read pick sheets and loading instructions. Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
Physical Requirements: The employee is regularly required to stand and sit. Frequent handling tools, objects, and controls. The employee is occasionally required to lift or move up to 50 lbs. Must pass OSHA standards for power industrial trucks.
Work Environment: Manufacturing and Mill conditions.

Must have Forklift Experience.
