Lancaster Burns Construction, Inc. is a multi-trade subcontractor specializing in commercial and industrial construction which performs Rough Carpentry, Steel, Metal Stud/Drywall, and Concrete. LB Construction was founded in 1992 and became a 100% Employee Owned. We are licensed in CA, NV, and OR and are an AISC certified Steel fabrication shop.
A Material Handler duties revolve around loading and unloading maintaining inventory, pulling, packing and crating. As a Material Handler, you’ll monitor inventory and communicate any shortages. You should have great attention to detail to maintain accurate records. Some physical strength is required since you may often need to lift packages by hand. If you’re reliable and fast on your feet, we’d like to meet you.
Duties & Responsibilities
· Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
· Locates materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
· Maintains in-process inventory at work centers by delivering and opening materials and supplies.
· Documents materials and supplies disposition by recording units delivered and location of units.
· Loading and unloading
· Prepares finished stock for shipment by identifying, pulling, packing, crating, loading, and securing product.
· Read work orders and follow written & verbal direction, good communication with coworkers & supervisors.
· Other duties as assigned.

· Knowledge of trucking loading requirements and protocol
- Knowledge to identify various types of steel material and hardware and match to receiving paperwork.
- Experience operating of a forklift. Ability to operate all LB trucks/vehicles/equipment on LB property.
Education and Experience:
· High School Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Employees are required to lift, manipulate, and place various component parts when preparing pallets for shipping, storing, pulling, reaching
- Applicants must display their ability to exert enough force to accomplish this task.
- Work in all types of weather
