Role Summary
This role is within the Production Control team in Normal, IL. The functions of the role are to investigate, root cause and coordinate resolution of systematic or operational errors that impact receiving and invoicing response time. In this role, you will be required to root cause and resolve current state discrepancies as well as identify countermeasures and process improvements going forward. (GR/IR - Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt). This role is onsite at our plant in Normal, IL and reports to our Inventory Control Manager.
Responsibilities
  • Perform systematic analysis to identify gaps in the flow of ASN, receiving and other areas that create or contribute to grief.
  • Perform root cause analysis, interact, integrate, and drives results by working cross-functionally with other departments to implement counter measures.
  • Lead and track projects to ensure milestones are met.
  • Receive, investigate, and resolve tickets submitted for Goods Receipt/Invoice Receipt "GR/IR."
  • Support in Controlling Goods Issued COGI grief resolution.
  • Support in receiving que problem resolution.
  • Monitor, resolve and close past due open POs.
  • Work in hand with SAP team and software developers to develop reports.
  • Attends meetings, creates reports and presents to leadership and other departments.
  • Interfaces with various teams including IT, Material Handling, Warehousing, Finance, Supplier Compliance and Material Planning
  • Develops and maintains processes and procedures.
  • Partner with business end users to drive continuous improvement through SAP solutions.
  • Contribute innovative ideas to develop or improve the system to support business processes.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor of Science required in engineering discipline and/or four years of applicable experience
  • Intermediate to advance knowledge in Excel, Word, Power point, and Outlook programs required.
  • Basic knowledge on Integration with other manufacturing systems
  • Good understanding of Goods Receipt and Invoice Receipt (GRIR) and standard Receiving processes required.
  • Experience with Materials Requirement Planning "MRP" Software and Warehouse Management "WM" such as SAP required.
  • Ability to communicate in a high-pressure environment.
  • Creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong team orientation and cross functional attitude
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as governmental regulations, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; sit; use hands and fingers, to handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear.
  • The employee is occasionally required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • In the performance of the duties of this job the employee is required to travel, drive a motor vehicle, communicate using telephone and e-mail.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, high pressure environment.
  • Ability to withstand exposure to solvents, fumes, heat, and odors normally associated with paint application.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Internal candidates interested in this position are required to have spent 6 months in their current position before moving onto another team.
