The Data Partnerships Specialist at Strata is responsible for many aspects of the following: data quality, availability, integrity, and security. This position is responsible for ensuring the fitness of data elements, content, metadata, and administering various data sets and ensuring organizational compliance with regulations. The areas of focus for this role include:
- Data Quality: Managing and approving state healthcare data used in our suite of analytics platforms or for use in projects. This includes ensuring data is correct and identifying outliers that might impede usage and analysis.
- Maintaining relationships with state data and CMS providers to present and correct errors within data sets.
- Data Availability: Ensuring that data is available and easy to consume by the business functions that require it. This will include maintaining processes for ordering state and CMS data in a timely manner, assisting customers with applications and renewals for data access, and regular audits for updates to newly available data.
- Data Usability: Maintaining supporting documentation for data sets so that it is accessible to all internal teams and customers. This includes providing clarity around QA notes and performing regular audits of internal data access to ensure proper access is available to all users.
- Data Integrity: Preserving data to ensure retention of its essential qualities even as it is stored, converted, transferred, and viewed across different platforms. This includes updates to facility names, and lat/long files.
- Data Security: Confirming that data is classified according to its sensitivity and defining processes for safeguarding information and preventing data loss and leakage. Maintaining Data Use Agreements (DUAs) and Business Associate Agreements (BAAs) as required for customers and internal users.
- Conduct quarterly reviews of employee data access on the applications.
- Determine process for reviewing, updating, and documenting, general administrative access to our platform, and define levels of users (e.g., superusers, high level admins, low level admins, basic users, etc.)
- Communication: Regularly communicate with Data Services Team (DST) to define the data governance framework and help enact it across all Strata teams. In addition, maintaining an internal communication dashboard will be imperative for organizational stakeholders to better understand data availability.
- Data reporting and administration of AMA CPT license.
- Serving as a subject matter expert for all state and federal data sets; supporting all other internal teams, including Services and Customer Success as it pertains to customer inquiries.

What we're looking for:
- Healthcare Industry experience, specifically familiarity with healthcare data layouts, dictionary jargon.
- Demonstrated knowledge of HIPAA and DUAs preferred
- Advanced Excel and analytical skills
- Strong communicator with the ability to managing incoming from multiple stakeholders and provide guidance on opportunities for proactive communication
- Organizational skills with the ability to balance competing tasks and deadlines
- Attention to detail
- Problem solving mindset, intellectually curious
- Collaborative team player who can also work well independently
- High degree of credibility, integrity, and discretion
How we work: The preferred location for this role is in Chicago, IL or St. Louis, MO. We value our people spending time together and have campuses hosting in-person events located in both cities.
