Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine the layout of electrical wiring and equipment
- Inspect electrical components, such as transformers and circuit breakers, to identify any defects or hazards
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and perform necessary repairs or replacements
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to coordinate electrical installations during new construction or renovation projects
- Provide guidance and supervision to apprentice electricians
Skills:
- Extensive knowledge of electrical systems, including high voltage applications
- Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
- Strong troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve electrical malfunctions
- Excellent understanding of local, state, and national electrical codes and regulations
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Effective communication skills to interact with clients, contractors, and other team members
