- Perform analysis of requests and capabilities related to data mastering, data quality, metaData Management and governance including the overall enterprise architecture for a hybrid (on prem, on cloud) deployment as it relates to information architecture, data quality, Master Data, reference data and metadata, aligning with business rules, policies, procedures and controls to effectively satisfy corporate system requirements.
- Demonstrate applied MDM thinking across enterprise business requirements and global operations by modelling MDM entities (customer, product, supplier and reference), create solution design and architect the MDM solution, including logical data model, system architecture, data architecture and functional architecture.
- Design and architect API and the messaging framework for the customer, supplier, and reference environments
- Build the solution around data quality processes, matching, merging, hierarchies, relationships, mappings, exception management, data ingestion, data storage, data access, data security, audit and history capabilities
- Collaborate with business/technical teams to create governing policies around customer, supplier, product and reference Master Data
- Define, create and maintain MDM models and application configurations. Support data strategy iterations with the wider Data Management team
- Provide and contribute to documentation required for all phases of MDM program implementation
- In collaboration with subject matter experts and data stewards, defines and implements data strategy, policies, controls, and programs to ensure the enterprise data is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable.
- Create Data Management, governance, and data quality of Master Data requirements with other functional data owners to ensure functional Master Data integrity across the operation of financial systems is consistent and meets stated business rules and requirements.
- Manages, analyzes, and resolves data initiative issues and manages revisions needed to best meet internal and customer requirements while adhering to published data standards.
- Ensures Master Data integrity in key systems as well as maintaining the processes to support the data quality.
- Experienced with development and documentation of processes with other functional data owners to support ongoing maintenance and data integrity.
- Work closely with the business/IT to ensure alignment of Master Data rules and the operations of the application meet all requirements.
- Focus on continuous improvement by leading projects and initiatives that optimize business processes, reducing cycle time, and cost of Master Data Management.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, MIS, or Business field.
- Must have knowledge and experience architecting enterprise Master Data Management both on premise and on cloud
- Deep understanding of modern MDM Concepts and DQ approaches, tools, techniques, vendor landscape, and best practices
- Understanding of data governance processes, business processes and methodologies
- Mastery of overall broader Data Management concepts and data modelling
- Understanding of appropriate business domain models and MDM scenarios
- Knowledge of cloud-based technologies or architecture including GCP, Azure
- Experience with Informatica Data Management platform and tools including MDM, Data Quality, Data Catalog, or Data Governance
- Experience with profiling, joining, and manipulating data using standard SQL and Informatica
- Must be proficient in architecting solutions in multiple DQ and MDM vendor technologies, including but not limited to Informatica, IBM, Oracle, and more. Newer product experience such as rivers and, and is welcome
- Certifications with MDM tools a plus
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills using available resources, and proactively escalate when additional resources may be required
- Ability to work effectively in team-based environments with multi-functional groups
- Ability to achieve results and execute multiple projects simultaneously
- Working knowledge of the underlying database table structures SQL/PL SQL.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
