Job Description
McNeil Massage is looking to hire a deep tissue/sports/medical massage
therapist. You need to be a licensed therapist with a willingness to learn and a desire to grow with a small business.
I would try to make pay fair depending on your current hourly rate based on a percentage split.
The room is currently available fridays after lunch and all day Saturday
and Sunday. As you gain clientele, there is room for growth in added hours the possibility of your own room instead of shared space.
Responsibilities:
I currently have more clients than I can handle, so you would help take my overflow and bring in new clients to the business. Your responsibilities
would include: massaging clients, rebooking your clients before they leave, taking your sheets, towels, and such home to clean at the end of the day, and keeping the office clean and tidy. Communicate with the owner about needs, issues, problems that may arise. You would originally be hired as an independent contractor with the hope of being a full time w2 employee as we grow!
Qualifications:
You don’t need to have experience doing these type of massage. Bring a willingness to learn and grow. You will be mentored beforehand, and as you move forward in the job.
This does not qualify as your continuing education for school. It is just to help you learn and develop skill that you may not have. If you already do this type of work, mentoring would be minimal. I would teach you how to use my online booking system as well. You would have access to book your clients but I would also be available to help do this remotely.
Provided:
A massage table with adjustable legs, sheets, a laundry basket, a speaker
for music, pillows and bolsters. I also have many different massage tools
that you are welcome to use if you keep them clean. Not provided is lubricant of your choice.
