THE ROLE:
AMD is seeking an innovative Staff Mask Layout Designer. This is a position for a valued member of the Mask Design Team working in collaboration with a Mask Design Lead and the circuit team for optimal planning and construction of the design. This is an opportunity to work with great people on bleeding edge technology that impacts the entire portfolio of products.
THE PERSON:
An experienced Mask Layout designer should be innovative, collaborative, meticulous, and curious.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Complete complex mask design of analog, digital, and mixed signal circuits.
• Work collaboratively on major blocks of the custom IP designs.
• Ensure all supplied data from resources are reviewed and meet milestone requirements.
• Schedule and forecast assigned blocks, maintaining schedule.
• Work closely with Engineering staff to ensure correct requirements are achieved.

PREFERRED SKILL SETS:

• Successfully verify mask designs against a host of leading edge physical and electrical checks and guidelines.
• Contribute to mask designs for various complex macros and tiles to be integrated at the IP level.
• Good understanding of DRC/LVS debug.
• Work closely with the team and contribute to all stages of the design flow.
• Work to improve existing tools utilized by the mask design community.

EDUCATION:
Associates Degree in Engineering (or related field)
