POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Marketing Intern at Kiewit, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our marketing efforts within the transportation sector. This dynamic position offers hands-on experience in various aspects of marketing, including market research, content creation, event management, award coordination, and video production. You’ll collaborate with our marketing team to enhance our brand presence and engage with our audience across digital, print, and social media channels.
DISTRICT OVERVIEW
The Kiewit Infrastructure Marketing (KIM) group is based in Lone Tree, Colorado, and provides exceptional – best in class – marketing services to all Kiewit Infrastructure and Engineering Districts. KIM represents a shared services initiative for Kiewit Engineering Group and Kiewit Infrastructure Group, divisions of Kiewit Corporation. The KIM group has an internship opening in its group in Lone Tree, CO. This intern position is temporary, starting in April or May 2024 and lasting for approximately eight weeks.
LOCATION
This position is based in our Lone Tree, CO office.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Market Research: Conduct research to stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and consumer behavior.
- Content Creation: Assist in creating compelling marketing content, including social media posts, blog articles, and promotional materials.
- Event Management: Participate in planning and coordinating marketing events, ensuring seamless execution.
- Award Coordination: Support the submission and management of industry awards and recognitions.
- Video Production: Learn to create and edit marketing videos using Adobe Premiere and After Effects (if applicable).
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze data related to marketing campaigns, consumer preferences, and market dynamics.
- Campaign Coordination: Support the execution of marketing campaigns, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
- Graphic Design Collaboration: Work closely with graphic designers to translate narrative concepts into visually appealing graphics.
- Identify Opportunities: Gain insights into areas where graphics and videos can enhance marketing materials.
- Deadline Management: Learn to manage deadlines and responsibilities using a responsibility matrix.
- Work Product Development: Contribute to the creation of marketing content that aligns with solicitation requirements and compliance objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Graduate or Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Premiere (After Effects is a plus).
- Enthusiasm for learning and contributing to a fast-paced marketing environment.

Base Compensation: $17.00/hr - $24.00/hr
