Your opportunity:
As a Marketing Technical Writer for the Greenheck Group you will be an integral part of Greenheck's Corporate Marketing Team. This position will write communications and literature for an HVAC engineering and contractor audience as well as edit, clarify, and proofread documents written by engineers. The Marketing Technical Writer will also plan and assist in the development of marketing communication for multiple Greenheck Group brands which requires an understanding of the different channels and marketing materials that meet each channel's requirements. This position will also be involved in desktop publishing including typography, layout and design using Adobe Creative Suite tools.
What you'll be doing:

  • Create and edit marketing documents to use in customer facing initiatives to support strategic business goals.
  • Focus on developing highly engaging and relevant content for specific audiences and support tailored messaging through different sales channels.
  • Ensure consistent branding, feature, function and benefit are consistently enforced across all company communications.
  • Aptitude to learn about engineered products and translate the knowledge into quality-driven documentation.
  • Identify and analyze areas where content should be developed or revised to continually improve communication to reps and customers.
  • Ability to identify graphics and images needed to enhance communications and work with Creative partners to develop those assets.
  • Maintain familiarity with mainstream competitors' marketing materials.
  • Maintain consistent information between online and print communication.
  • Assist in development of scripts for video projects.
  • Create and edit documents with knowledge of typography, layout and design in Adobe InDesign and utilizing other Creative Suite Tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and Acrobat.

  • Minimal travel is required in this role.

What you should have:
  • Required 4 Year / bachelor's degree in technical writing or communication, English, or a related field of study.
  • Required 2-4 years of relevant work experience in creating technical customer facing content.
  • Thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud tools with emphasis on InDesign and Acrobat
  • Knowledge of typography and layout using InDesign and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Requires excellent written and oral communication, editing well as proof-reading.
  • Requires excellent people and consensus building skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
