Job Overview:
Responsible for supervising marketing initiatives including management of the District's website, social media accounts, online listings, email communications, and digital and print communication campaigns. Additionally, this role will strategically oversee the District's sponsorship program, encompassing solicitation, negotiation, and execution of corporate partnerships to optimize sponsorship revenue.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Develop compelling, relevant, and creative messaging for email, social media, digital, and print campaigns
- Provide recommendations for marketing strategies, promotional ideas, and advertising initiatives based on organizational objectives, brands, and best practices
- Utilize data to assess campaign success and guide decision-making to support future marketing and promotional initiatives
- Supervise the production of quality photography and video content for District use
- Provide oversight to ensure cohesive branding in marketing efforts and collateral
- Cultivate and maintain community relationships with businesses and organizations to establish a database of potential sponsors, advertisers, and donors
- Develop sponsorship and advertising agreements and manage benefits from inception to completion
- Represent the District at various events, internal and external, to engage with sponsors and effectively communicate the District's brand
- Foster and maintain effective professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Act as a resource for the Oswegoland Park Foundation board, attending meetings, recording minutes, and disseminating information
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Education, Experience, & Training:
- Bachelor's Degree in marketing, sales, advertising business development, a related field of study or equivalent experience
- Three years of experience in marketing or communications
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Ability to work independently and in collaborative team settings
- Strong communication, presentation, writing, computer and software skills
- Demonstrate decision-making, conflict resolution, negotiation, and organizational skills
- Knowledge & experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and budget management best practices
- Experience with Adobe Suite and understanding of design best practices a plus
- Understand and exhibit behavior consistent with stated values of the Park District

Hours:
40 hours per week, varies, some weekends and evenings required
