The Massachusetts Medical Society (MMS) is the statewide professional association for physicians and medical students, supporting 25,000 members. We are currently seeking a Marketing Specialist (Sales Support) to work a hybrid schedule in our Waltham, MA office and remotely (approximately 3 in-office days per month).
The Marketing Specialist (Sales Support), working with the Global Sales Solutions (GSS) Shared Sales Services (SSS) Marketing Team, supports the marketing goals and objectives for all lines of business (LOB) within GSS, including Pharmaceutical Advertising & Sponsorship, Content & Licensing (Reprints, Permissions, Pharma Licensing), and Recruitment (NEJM Career Center). Contributes to strategy, planning, execution, and performance evaluation of marketing and advertising plans and communications. Areas of focus include copywriting for marketing and advertising campaigns and sales collateral, and email marketing campaign management (development, execution, and measurement). Additionally, assist SSS Marketing Team with event planning as needed.
Responsibilities:
1. As a member of the SSS Marketing Team, contributes to the development of marketing and advertising campaigns for GSS LOB leads. This includes themes, core messaging, mediums, channels, schedules, and KPIs/reporting.
2. Collaborates with SSS Marketing Team, internal PreMedia Team and/or outside designer on the execution of advertising campaigns and marketing collateral, including design, messaging, copywriting, and channels. Channels can include email, LOB/product landing pages, digital banners, social media, print advertisements, print sales collateral, direct mail, and PowerPoints (sales and internal meeting).
3. Drafts and edits campaign and collateral copy. This includes development of a library of boilerplate organizational language, core brand attributes/adjectives, and approved product copy relevant to all GSS LOBs to promote efficiency and ensure consistency across communications.
4. Coordinates email marketing for Pharma Advertising & Sponsorship, Content & Licensing, and Recruitment, utilizing SalesForce Marketing Cloud, WhatCounts, and Adobe Campaign Responsibilities includes email template design and preparation, copywriting, deployment, database management, and post-campaign performance measurement.
5. Works with SSS Marketing Team to ensure expectations around campaign and collateral deliverables are fulfilled and timelines are met. Communicates with GSS LOB stakeholders should deviations from campaign timelines or modifications be required.
6. Assists SSS Marketing Team and GSS Operations & Data Specialist on the development and production of various market research and informational deliverables, including NEJM CareerCenter Career Guides and Essential Journal Study.
7. Assists SSS Marketing Team with conference and event planning and execution as needed/requested.
8. Ensures all marketing campaigns, advertising, and sales collateral meet NEJM Group branding guidelines.
9. Consults on available marketing budget for all objectives and tactics in advertising and campaign planning.
10. Utilizes SSS Marketing Team's work management application, Trello, for specific projects and deliverables.
11. Other duties as required.
