VELP Scientific, Inc., the American branch of VELP, is actively seeking an innovative Marketing Specialist with a strong background in marketing. You will be responsible for overseeing a substantial marketing budget and playing a crucial role in taking our business to the next level.

ROLE DESCRIPTION

As a Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for the copywriting and execution of integrated marketing programs from start to finish, as well as, collaborating with the Global Marketing team. The Marketing Specialist will develop programs that build brand awareness, attract new customers (lead generation), drive growth of existing customers, and foster customer retention by creating loyalty to our brand, while ensuring alignment to VELP business objectives across the North America region.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop a robust lead generation and sales opportunity funnel through promotional initiatives and marketing-led events such as digital campaigns, webinars, and tradeshows.
• Organize sales training and deploy the marketing plan in collaboration with product management, global marketing, and commercial teams.

·         Create and implement marketing content across multiple channels, including email, social media, web, video, print, display advertising and live events.

·         Co-develop promotional activities along with VELP’s authorized distributors.

·         Attend/organize tradeshows and external networking/learning. Manage promotional merchandise.

·         Manage marketing vendors.

• Maintain and adhere to annual marketing budget.

·         Measure and report the performance of all marketing campaigns, assessing them against ROI and KPIs.

Knowledge, Experience, Skills, and Abilities

·         Self-starter, able to perform and complete tasks independently. Be willing to learn new skills and motivated for continual improvement.

·         Exceptional writing ability, especially a propensity to translate technical content and product info into useful materials for non-technical audiences.

·         Excellent oral communication skills in one-on-one, small group and large group settings.

·         Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to manage multiple projects, meet frequent and/or demanding deadlines and be self-disciplined about work prioritization and time management.

·         Demonstrate creative thinking skills.

·         Experience/understanding of the following or similar programs: Adobe, Google Analytics, Salesforce, Marketing Automation (Pardot), Microsoft Office, social media channels and website CMS (SAP Hybris).

·         Besides driving local campaigns in North America, stay in close connection with the global marketing team and localize global marketing strategies.

Qualifications/Requirements

1.      Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, journalism, media communications, business, or a related field.

2.      3+ years applicable experience focused on marketing.

3.      3 years’ experience ideally in the laboratory equipment of analytical instrument space. Either company background is relevant, manufacturing or distribution environment.

Working Conditions

This position is full-time and/or part time with primary hours falling during normal a business day. Few occasional night and weekend hours required. Position works in an office environment. Limited remote work may be available for this position.
