Job Summary
The Marketing Specialist will be responsible for executing effective marketing strategies, assisting with campaign development, analyzing the effectiveness of each campaign and developing our lead generation program. The successful candidate will play an integral role in building and engaging the company's customer base, and creating effective strategies that will promote the long-term growth of Super King Markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Works safely at all times and follows all established safety guidelines and procedures.
- Supports the Marketing Manager and Marketing Department (including Graphic Design) as needed.
- Assists with project management and/or leads projects to ensure on-time completion.
- Work with other departments across the organization to assist with marketing needs.
- Maintain a fresh and user-friendly web site that constantly improves Super King's online exposure.Other duties as assigned by management.

Digital / Social Media.
- Assist with communicating across all social media platforms. On day-to-day basis, lead online presence by developing content for daily posts while staying focused on long-term strategy.
- Assist with social media content calendar and creation: Research, write, edit and distribute compelling social media posts, original articles and thought leadership pieces for organic and/or sponsored posts for platform-specific or for cross-platform use.
- Track results for all digital and social outreach for efficiency and to (A) provide management with reports and analysis and (B) improve messaging and targeting.
Research & Analysis.
- Further to online platform monitoring, assists with gathering and analyzing primary data (e.g. from the Super
- King loyalty program) and secondary research.
- Based on (quantitative) analysis and/or (qualitative) observation, recommend actionable insights and suggest courses of action to improve customer outreach through all marketing channels.
- Must be willing to work in a fast-paced environment with an openness to change, as our company needs change.
Marketing / Branding.
- Assist with all aspects of company branding (new and old media, in-store, recruiting, etc.) by ensuring creative marketing materials adhere to brand guidelines.
- 'Learn' Super King Markets' weekly marketing requirements namely creating and managing weekly specials (print, web, loyalty, TV and in-store) and coordinating between departments.
- Assist with Super King Markets' member-based loyalty program to help leverage and build it out.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing/advertising or equivalent required.
- 3+ years of professional experience ideal, but not required.
- Analytical and mathematical proficiency to correlate business metrics with campaign metrics (or vice versa) and determine marketing ROI
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literate:
- MS Office Suite, specifically MS Excel (as data analysis tool) and PowerPoint.
- Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop (basic knowledge)
- Ability to perform essential functions, with reasonable accommodation if needed
- Maintaining professional working relationships with all team members which includes demonstrating respect, enthusiasm and initiatives
- Ability and willingness to work days, evenings, weekends, & holidays
- Ability to work quickly and independently
- Exceptional customer service skills and desire

- Ability to take direction and absorb information quickly.
- Experience with content creation.
- Good knowledge of Social Media analytics and management tools (think Hootsuite, Google Analytics, Facebook Power Editor, LinkedIn ads, YouTube, ...).
- Familiarity with digital and social media platforms and campaigns.
