MAIN PURPOSE
We are seeking a talented and strategic Marketing & Public Relations Manager to play a key role in building Piaget brand equity, increasing awareness, generating significant and qualitative PR coverage for the Americas and overall marketing support.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Public Relations
Develop and execute annual strategic PR plan for North America, securing top-tier print, online and social editorial coverage to elevate Piaget's image and raise awareness via qualitative, targeted press coverage.
Oversee PR agency in Mexico to deliver PR results in Mexico and Latam.
Build and maintain strong relationships with national and regional media outlets, promoting newsworthy items and initiatives, leading to measurable coverage in key media.
Develop new ideas and initiatives to generate media coverage when there is no news.
Help in planning and executing PR events at retail and wholesale. Secure media coverage when relevant.
Book editor appointments, meet with editors and facilitate meetings/interviews with key Piaget executives.
Draft, edit and disseminate as needed press releases, presentations, speeches, advertorial opportunities and other relevant PR materials.
Handle photo shoots, including consignment of timepieces and jewelry, arrange pick-ups and returns, attend select shoots and liaise with press.
Support product loans to celebrities and influencers. Work with the agency responsible for securing talent.
Manage PR budget and recommend spending priorities.
Keep and develop close ties with HQ PR/communications team.
Monitor and analyze press clippings; send out monthly clipping reports to HQ and NA teams.
Advertising
Support print, digital and social advertising in conjunction with the media agency. Successfully negotiate added value opportunities where possible.
Manage media agency as primary point of contact.
Manage all coop advertising; work closely with business partners to develop and implement plans. Suggest and loan product for coop catalog shoots.
Ensure all national and coop media is input, tracked and reconciled in Bumblebee; develop all creative in conjunction with agency.
Manage advertising A&P budget; track monthly; recommend spending priorities.
Additional Marketing Support
Events: Support the coordination of events as needed and time permits; help develop ideas for new partners and concepts
Contribute to the overall goals of the marketing department
Assist in developing marketing and communications presentations
Overall admin support when needed including organizing executive itineraries including booking travel/accommodations, cars, etc., submit invoices and expenses and monitor payment status.
Qualifications
5 years of relevant marketing experience
Experience in Public Relations with existing, relevant contacts and proven results is required
Ability to multi-task
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written
Team player, positive attitude, able to work under pressure
Flexibility to travel (up to 20%)
Highly organized, ability to use MS Office platforms such as MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Previous experience in luxury products is preferred
Expected Salary Range: $80-100k annually. Bonus eligible.
Salary will be negotiated based on relevant skills and experience.
