SalaryAs the Marketing Manager - Media Strategy, you will lead the strategic planning of assigned product categories and oversee implementation for assigned paid media plans. This role works across internal cross functional partners, along with external agencies to develop data and insights driven media strategies and approaches. In this role you will lead Media Strategy work across select product categories, including the TV and Video product category, which includes media execution of our official NFL sponsorship program.
You will report to a Senior Manager and have one direct report.
This role is hybrid, which means you must be located within a drivable distance to our Best Buy corporate office in Richfield, MN. You might be asked to come into the office up to 3 days per week.

What you’ll do
- Develop data-driven paid media recommendations that support campaign objectives
- Have direct communication with external agency partners to gain alignment on plan recommendations
- Identify trends and opportunities for assigned categories utilizing historical performance and consumer insights
- Maintain strong collaboration with internal and external partners
- 8+ Years of progressive media planning experience in advertising agency, client or retail media network setting
- 4+ Years of digital planning and/or buying experience; familiarity managing programmatic and brand onsite campaigns across all digital channels including display, video, CTV, social and retargeting
- Strong presentation skills with the ability to tailor communication based on the needs of the audience
- Curiosity and eagerness to stay current on industry trends and tools, and about new trends and new business opportunities
- Experience managing integrated paid media programs for a national, retail brand
- Experience managing million-dollar budgets
- A team player who is a self-starter, curious and eager to learn, demonstrating openness to feedback and coaching, and well organized
- 4+ years of people or resource leadership experience (direct or indirect)
