The Marketing Manager for Repair Component Applications will play a critical role in the success of Caterpillar’s Construction Industries Services Division (CISD). The Component Application Team this role oversees drives key strategic projects, and as the manager of this team, you will own initiatives, processes and Go-to-Market support/business strategy for selected Aftermarket Offerings (AMOs).
What You’ll Do
Key Process and Initiatives Owner (50%)
Management of the execution of Component Application team goals and related KPIs
Develop, maintain, and facilitate training of the component application intelligence tool (RABIT) to drive standard work of Component Application team
Ownership of the aftermarket voice of customer/dealer/business process to support development of unmet customer needs and customer requirements within the Construction Industries (CI) segment
Management of the CI parts and components competitive testing process, including intake and prioritization, status updates, and communication to key business partners
Drive governance of Lost Opportunity goal and CI Segmentation to deliver customer requirements to key business partners.
Act as the team’s point-of-contact for maintaining strategy, communications, and alignment to key business partners.
Strategic Project Management (25%)
Building and maintaining a portfolio of key projects to achieve the team’s strategy and execution.
Key strategic projects include: CI Parts and Services Win in China, Enterprise Workstream / CI Multiple-Value Offerings support, CI Parts and Components Nomenclature
Go-to-Market Strategy Lead (25%)
Lead the internal and external readiness of commercialization of the AMOs of Drive Train, Hydraulics, Seals, Tubes & Hardware, and Electronics
Ensure all go-to-market deliverables are completed on-time
Co-develop commercial marketing and strategy with Component Application Specialists / Market Pros
Alignment of sales regional targets of new product launches
What You Have
Progressively responsible roles held in parts marketing, sales or product support
Ability to travel internationally 25-50%
Extensive experience in customer focus , aligning customer needs and satisfaction as primary considerations in business decisions and leveraging that information to create customized customer solutions
Effective communicator downward, upward, and outward
Extensive experience in relationship management: ability to establish and maintain healthy working relationships with clients, vendors, and peers.
Top Candidates Will Also Have
Previous dealer-facing role(s) and/or field experience
Machine or component product group experience
Project management experience: black belt preferred
Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills
Influencing skills to engage with all levels of an organization to motivate and enable change
Ability to deal with sensitive issues, mentor, and coach, and/or persuade others on new methods of product application, and new technology
High level of proficiency/extensive expertise in Microsoft Office products including SharePoint and Teams
