Summary:
The Marketing and Planning Manager manages members of the Marketing Department and leads the daily management and general maintenance of customer information as it relates to marketing, and sales strategies based on a long-term perspective, as well as the timely formulation of countermeasures in response to sales performance/trend, and other miscellaneous marketing functions. Must have a background in social media or digital communications.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
● Use business management skills to help plan, develop, and execute email marketing campaigns and google advertising initiatives.
● Oversee the creation of an online media calendar for website content, media postings, and online advertising
● Oversee the creation and development of Social Media communications for various channels, including Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, etc.
● Lead a strategy to engage consumers and foster two-way communications; develop, write and edit thoughtful content to create a culture of audience engagement.
● Supervise, inspire, and lead a creative team of 3+ employees - organize, prioritize and schedule work assignments accordingly.
● Ability to give constructive feedback on creative graphics/ads and videos created to represent our brand
● Respond to customer feedback in a timely and factual way, in keeping with brand voice
● Develop and monitor engagement opportunities with other industry brands, bloggers, and media outlets
● Monitor and report online activity to make strategic recommendations based on customer listening and trending observations, as well as to improve consumer perception and brand engagement
● Stay up to date on Social Media tools, best practices and competitor activity including Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.
● Brand identity implementation internally and externally
● Work cross-functionally with various departments to create on-brand materials for all facets of the organization.
● Web design for internal and external websites to make sure all content is current and up to date.
● Gather and analyze the competitors’ activities and market information from both internal and external sources, and use all available information to develop and manage sales strategies based on a long-term perspective.
● Develop sales strategies based on a long-term perspective and manage the progress.
● To monitor sales performance and formulate strategies accordingly, and to work closely with the sales department to improve sales performance.
● Plan and manage various events such as new product launches, sales promotion campaigns, and exhibitions to maximize their effectiveness.
● Manage marketing department members.
● Negotiate with the external vendors.
● 10% travel required
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
● Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or related field and at least 5+ years of marketing management experience
● Leadership experience.
● Has a creative eye for design and storytelling capabilities to assist with graphics and video content.
● Creative and design capabilities
● Mac and PC proficient.
● Ability to understand marketing and branding strategy and how it relates to design.
● Experience in both B to B and B to C marketing.
● Graphic design experience and videography experience a major plus
