We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Marketing Lead to spearhead our marketing efforts, focusing primarily on our cybersecurity software product. This role is perfect for a marketing professional who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about making a significant impact in the cybersecurity and defense sectors.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and execute innovative marketing strategies to increase brand awareness in the cybersecurity space
- Own the growth marketing strategy and execution to hit annual revenue goals & KPIs
- Lead demand generation as a primary focus of this role
- Implement innovative digital marketing strategies to enhance online presence and engagement
- Create access to “walled gardens” of users and leads through creative channels, business development and other means in conjunction with outside sales team
- Manage content creation, ensuring it aligns with our brand’s voice and cybersecurity focus
- Lead generation and relationship building within the government and defense sectors
- Manage and create compelling MARCOM and MARTECH initiatives
- Collaborate closely with Product Owners to align marketing strategies with product development
- Utilize Pylon User Story Mapping to effectively understand and address client needs
- Build and manage processes and workflows for the creation, editing and publishing of content and marketing campaigns.
- Ideation, execution, and management of content marketing, SEM/PPC, PR and traditional advertising campaigns
- Build the team: manage current freelance & contract marketers (SEOs, PPC experts, writers, social media, videographers, etc.) and source and hire as needed
- Ability to build and lead the marketing functional area within BCS, embodying the “BCS Way”
- Proven and visible marketing professional with experience across a dynamic range of mediums and channels: SEO, SEM, PR and digital outreach, content marketing, social media, email marketing, marketing automation and lead nurturing among others
- Thorough knowledge of search ranking and optimization factors and key algorithm updates and experience with data-driven SEO analysis and optimization.
- Proficiency in digital marketing, with the ability to leverage various online platforms for maximum impact
- Experience creating content for the web across several disciplines (text, design, video, etc.) and media (blogging, guides, whitepapers, research, infographics, podcasts, etc.) preferred
- Creativity in content management, delivering compelling messages that resonate with our audience
- Strategic thinking aligned with our short-term and long-term vision
- Effective management of the marketing budget and development of growth strategies
- A leader who can inspire and motivate the marketing team to achieve excellence
- Driven by creative intuition but able to gut check and course-correct with data, as well as report results and optimize using data.
- Effectiveness in generating qualified leads
- Analytical skills in assessing marketing campaign success and ROI
- Innovative approaches in campaign development and execution
- Scrappy, yet refined self-starter
- Able to think and build with scale in mind
- Proven experience in marketing, preferably in the cybersecurity or defense sectors
- Able to build and execute campaigns across digital and traditional channels as an individual contributor and as a manager of creatives (contractors)
- Strong leadership and strategic planning abilities
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with MARCOM and MARTECH
- Must be local to San Diego, CA area
