Guide Dogs for the Blind (GDB) is seeking a Marketing Intern for the Summer of 2024 to join our Marketing Team in San Rafael, CA. As the Marketing Intern, you will assist the marketing team with social media and public relations projects and contribute to the success of GDB's brand-building and marketing efforts.
What you'll do:
- Create engaging accessible written, video, and photo content for social and new media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube, GDB's blog, Central Bark Podcast, and more
- Assist with a competitive analysis of brand and marketing efforts by select guide dog and service animal organizations
- Work closely with other members of the Marketing Team to provide brand and operational support for events and PR activities
- Review web sites, social media, PR, and other vehicles from key industry participants to identify risks and opportunities for GDB
- Attend key events and produce real-time, high-quality content
- Collaborate with members of the marketing team to maintain a shared content and marketing calendar
- Support additional Marketing efforts and PR activities, as needed

The qualifications you'll need:
- GDB Client or candidate with lived experience with blindness preferred
- Educational or professional experience with marketing principles; College student preferred
- Experience with social media marketing or content development; Experience with digital accessibility and best practices preferred
- Proficiency with video and photo editing tools and digital media formats
- Excellent written communication and editing skills
- Organized, with an ability to work well independently, as well as in a team environment, across departments and with vendor partners
- Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook)
