Marketing Intern

SUMMARY
The Destination El Paso marketing team is a dynamic group of creative individuals that promote tourism, events, meetings & conventions, sports, and water parks throughout El Paso and the surrounding region. We are seeking a motivated Graphic Design Intern to join our team. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment on a variety of projects.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and execute marketing campaigns across multiple channels, including social media, email, and digital advertising.
• Contribute to the creation of engaging content for our website, blog, social media platforms, and other marketing materials. This may include but is not limited to drafting social media posts, creating videos and graphics, or organizing materials for distribution.
• Assist in analyzing marketing data and metrics to evaluate the performance of campaigns and initiatives and provide insights to management.
• Provide general administrative support to the marketing team, including organizing files, scheduling meetings, and maintaining marketing calendars.
• Provide clear, concise, and timely communication to management.
• Work effectively with other departments.

• Performs other duties as assigned by marketing management.

QUALIFICATIONS, EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE

• Current enrollment in or recent graduate of a degree program in marketing, communications, business, public relations, or a related field.
• Proficiency in software such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Basic understanding of social media platforms and digital marketing concepts.
• Strong attention to details and the ability to follow brand guidelines.
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and cross-functionally with other teams.
• Excellent organization, written, verbal and interpersonal skills required; ability to interact with all levels of staff including management.
• Follow oral and written instructions and communicate effectively with others in both oral and written form.
• Valid driver's license required.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT/CONDITIONS

• Office and working facility environment.
• Ability to read printed words and numbers in printed form and on computer/terminal monitor.
• Daily sitting, focusing on and operating a personal computer or terminal keyboard to enter data for over 60 minutes at a time.
