We are seeking a highly skilled and creative Digital Strategist to join our marketing team. The Digital Strategist works with the marketing staff to develop and maintain digital communication that enriches and enhances the Dallas JCC brand while increasing program engagement amongst our members and community. The Digital Strategist role will manage job-relevant marketing software and digital systems in conjunction with The JCC’s IT department. In addition, the Digital Strategist is responsible for website functionality, digital technology, and content consistency across all JCC online engagement platforms.

The ideal candidate should be up to date with digital trends, have a strong understanding of digital marketing, website, and digital metrics. The candidate should have experience with current marketing tools and strategies and collaboratively execute integrated digital marketing campaigns.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Frontend and Backend Management:

Oversee the development and maintenance of the company's website, ensuring both frontend and backend functionalities are optimized for performance and user experience.

Collaborate with marketing team to implement design changes and improvements.

Digital Analytics:

Monitor and analyze digital metrics and user behavior to identify opportunities for website optimization and additional digital tools, such as television screens and connectivity of all digital devices.

Generate reports and recommendations based on data-driven insights to improve user engagement and conversions.

Web Aesthetics:

Create visually appealing and user-centric website designs that align with the company's brand and marketing goals.

Work with the design team to obtain relevant graphics. Implement responsive design principles to ensure a seamless user experience across various devices.

Digital Presence:

Collaborate with team to continuously develop and maintain the company's digital presence across various online platforms, including digital channels.

Work closely with the marketing team to create engaging and relevant content that drives traffic and conversions.

Marketing Collaboration:

Collaborate with the marketing department to understand campaign objectives and translate them into effective digital design solutions.

Ensure that all digital assets align with the company's brand guidelines and messaging.

EDUCATION / REQUIREMENTS:

B.A. or B.S. in Web Design, Graphic Design, or a related field

Proven experience in web design and development, with a strong portfolio showcasing your creative and technical skills.

Familiarity with backend development concepts and the ability to collaborate effectively with developers.

Proficiency in frontend technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and CMS platforms.

Solid understanding of digital analytics tools and the ability to interpret data to make informed design decisions.

Previous experience working in or with a marketing department is a plus

Strong attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrated examples of marketing initiatives aimed at a wide variety of audiences and market sectors.

Ability to work within established style guidelines, brand guidelines

Excellent verbal, written, and people skills

Ability to manage multiple and concurrent projects on tight deadlines

Photography skills and videography (including editing) a plus

Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop - iMovie, FinalCut Pro and After Effects.

Ability to work well in a team environment Effective communication and project management skills

The Digital Strategist must be a collaborator as part of The JCC Professional Staff. This person must be aware of The JCC Mission Statement and work within the frameworks of that mission. Responsibilities of the job may change as the needs of The JCC and/or community change.
