About Conquering CHD:

Conquering CHD’s mission is to Conquer Congenital Heart Disease. We are accomplishing this through collaboration with patients, parents, providers, and partner organizations to improve quality and outcomes through CHD education, support, research and awareness.

Position Description:

Marketing Coordinator serves as the face of Conquering CHD (CCHD) through various media venues. The Marketing Coordinator will work with the Executive Director to develop a strategic marketing plan for CCHD and will lead and participate in the execution of that plan. This is a remote position that will be part-time. Part-time hours will not exceed 10 hours per week.

Essential Job Functions:

Marketing and Communication Strategy

Develop and implement an organization-wide strategic communications plan to increase awareness of CCHD and their activities, educate patients and families and build community

Support a marketing strategy for CCHD to form and foster meaningful relationships with targeted, high-level external audiences, including the media, public officials and key influencers

Social Media Management:

Manage Conquering CHD's social media channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok)

Edit and contribute to the monthly Conquering CHD newsletter

Craft engaging and informative newsletter copy.

Research and write blog posts on CHD topics, personal stories, and fundraising initiatives.

Maintain Consistent Brand Voice and Messaging across all channels.

Qualifications:

High School graduate preferred

Minimum 1 year experience in social media design and development;

Proficient in writing engaging material for multiple social media platforms including but not limited to emails, Facebook, Instagram, X (Twitter), and Tiktok

Proficient knowledge of word-processing software, social media platforms and basic graphic design software required, knowledge of WordPress and email platforms a plus

Dynamic self-starter with desire to learn new skills

Ability to inspire and motivate volunteers to complete basic social media tasks

Connection to the CHD community a plus

Must reside within 100 miles of Madison Wisconsin

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week
