JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Marketing Coordinator
POSITION: Exempt
REPORTS TO: Vice President of Revenue
RESPONSIBLE FOR: Entire Hawkeye Portfolio
Scope and General Purpose The Marketing Coordinator's main responsibility will be managing Hawkeye’s PPC Advertising, Online Content and SEO. They may also be asked to support other Marketing initiatives within Hawkeye Hotels to make sure our portfolio of hotels and restaurants stands out within the competitive market.
Main Duties
· Monitor and adjust advertising campaigns to ensure that we are getting the best results in our return on our investments.
· Conduct yearly audits on our brand websites to ensure we have a healthy SEO Strategy.
· Ensuring that our content on OTA and Metasearch is up to date and compelling.
· Responsible for putting together weekly and monthly reporting showing the marketing departments performance.
· Generate exposure for any promotional campaigns our hotels participate in.
· Provide oversight to the property photoshoots, including the scheduling of the photographers, auditing the photos, and uploading them into our brand portals.
· Support Sales and Revenue with need periods in their markets through formulation of marketing strategies throughout the year including targeted ads.
· Keep up to date with Brand Marketing initiatives.
· Assist in the pre-opening process for new properties to ensure our online presence is optimized on both brand websites and Online Travel Agency sites.
· Abide by all policies and guidelines of Hawkeye Hotels according to the Hawkeye Hotels Employee Handbook.
· To carry out other duties as assigned and deemed necessary.

· Education and/or Experience
· Prior hotel marketing experience preferred.
· Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality, or other related field preferred.
· Experience using the advertising program Koddi preferred.
Communication Skills
· Must be able to read, write, and understand the English language, prepare reports in the proper format, punctuation, spelling, and grammar; speak with poise, voice control, and confidence.
· Must be able to conduct and manage meetings, as well as speak to large groups, if needed.
· Math Skills
· Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

May require bending, stooping, or climbing stairs. Occasional lifting and/or moving light objects weighing up to 20lbs might be possible. Employees must be able to sit for long periods of time. This position may require some travel to the home office, hotels, or other destinations for meetings, trainings, tradeshows, etc.
Computer Skills The employee must have the ability to learn and be proficient in Microsoft Office. Ability to learn and be familiar with property management systems and various rate/inventory programs.
