Marketing Assistant - The Marketing Assistant supports the work of the marketing and sales department and the Chief Communications Officer.
General Position Summary
The Marketing Assistant position oversees and executes projects directed at maximizing company profits, opening new clinics, public relations, company events, and developing sales tools or marketing campaigns. The Marketing Assistant works closely with clinical teams and the Chief Communications Officer on branding and patient facing communication.
In addition to the above, Marketing Assistant duties will include projects related to new clinic openings and public relations. Our ideal candidate is someone who embraces the AFC Core Purpose and Values and has experience in graphic design. In addition to being an outstanding communicator, you will also demonstrate excellent organizational skills.
This individual needs to be incredibly organized and voracious about our brand - assisting in the optimization of the optimal patient experience from a communication and brand standpoint.

- Monday-Friday 8am-5pm with occasional weekends and evenings
- In-office collaboration is essential, so in-person work is required. Working from home is appropriate at times as approved by the supervisor
- Offices are located in Hillsboro, Oregon
Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities
Assist in developing and monitoring budgets and performance.
Execute social media strategies and manage the platforms (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.).
Post and/or prepare weekly and monthly blogs.
Update the AFC Portland website
Prepare accurate reports on our digital marketing campaign’s overall performance.
Prepare and maintain dashboards and reports related to company performance (visit type analysis, phone call volumes, social media reviews, etc.)
Coordinate with advertising and media experts as needed to improve digital marketing results.
Identify and report on the latest trends and technologies affecting our industry.
Evaluate important metrics that affect our website traffic, service quotas, and target audience.
Work with the teams - marketing and clinic managers - to brainstorm new and innovative growth strategies.
Oversee and manage all contests, giveaways, and other marketing-related activities as needed
Support the implementation and maintenance of creative marketing assets
Attend internal and external meetings, representing AFC Portland, as needed for marketing and public relations
Requirements
A minimum of 1 year experience in a communications or marketing position.
Highly organized and able to multitask
Graphic Design skills and proficiency in design software
Event management experience
Initiative and problem solving ability
Outstanding communication, writing, and interpersonal skills.
Basic competency in Google Workspace
Supervisory Responsibility
- This position will not have any supervisory responsibilities.
Specific Job Skills
Team player who is equally comfortable working independently.
Ability to understand healthcare industry terminology.
Must possess strong written and oral communication skills, organizational skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, and dependability.
Customer service skills.
Adept at Office Productivity software (Google Sheets and Docs).
Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely task workflow.
Job Conditions
- The work environment is a corporate office space but can occasionally require clinical visits and working indirectly with patients, clinical staff, and providers. Normal working hours are 8:00am-5:00pm weekdays with 1 hour lunch. Working from home is appropriate at times as approved by the supervisor.
