Job description

It is the goal of the Latham Centers Internship Program to train its interns through experiential learning to become competent, ethical, and confident professionals. We provide experience and supervision that allows interns to thrive not only in today’s world, but to gain the knowledge and tools that empower them to adapt. The Internship Program is an integral part of our community of learning and quality improvement. Our internships help bridge the gap between academia and post-graduate work by providing hands-on experience to interns through supervised training and service delivery.

 

Job Summary:

The Marketing and Social Media Intern at Latham Centers will be responsible for creating, executing strategic marketing campaigns and outreach programming. The ideal candidate should be creative, detail-oriented, and have a strong understanding of Social Media trends, analytics, and web development. The Marketing and Social Media Intern will report directly to the Marketing and Social Media Specialist and will be responsible for promoting Latham Centers, its services, and programs.

Statement of Responsibilities:

  • Assist with developing Social Media strategies: Analyze the client's business, industry, target audience, and competitors to develop a Social Media strategy that aligns with their goals and objectives.
  • Assist with Develop, manage, and implement digital marketing strategies for Latham Centers across Social Media channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, etc.)
  • Assist with creating content for Latham Centers’ website, Social Media channels, email campaigns, and other promotional materials
  • Managing Social Media accounts: Manage and optimize Social Media accounts, including posting content, responding to comments and messages, and monitoring Social Media trends.
  • Monitoring and analyzing Social Media metrics: Track and analyze Social Media metrics, such as audience engagement, reach, and conversions, to measure the success of Social Media campaigns and optimize campaigns in real-time.
  • Monitor Latham Centers’ Social Media channels for comments/feedback and respond as appropriate
  • Providing guidance and support: Provide guidance and support on Social Media best practices, emerging trends, and tools, and help clients adapt to changes in Social Media algorithms and policies.
  • Collaborate and maintain relationships with external partners to increase exposure and bring awareness to Latham Centers
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
  • Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders: Work closely with clients, internal marketing teams, and external agencies to align Social Media strategies with overall Marketing and business objectives.

 

Key Interactions:

The Marketing and Social Media Intern works in tandem with the Marketing and Social Media Specialist, to ensure a strong Social Media presence across various platforms to outline all services provided. Directly responsible to the Marketing and Social Media Specialist. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

The Marketing and Social Media Intern is responsible for helping Latham Centers improve their online presence, increase their brand awareness, and engage with their target audience through various Social Media platforms. Their role includes developing and implementing Social Media strategies, monitoring, and analyzing Social Media trends, creating, and curating content, managing Social Media accounts, and providing guidance and support to clients on best practices for Social Media marketing.

Qualifications:

  • Interns must be affiliated with a school during their placement with Latham Centers.
  • High School Diploma or greater
  • Experience in digital marketing, Social MediaMarketing and content creation preferred
  • Strong understanding of Social Media platforms, trends, and best practices
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and project management skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and manage competing deadlines
