Inclusion Connections/PawsAbilities is a small business in Olathe, KS. We are professional, agile and our goal is to Inclusion Connections 501c3 nonprofit was born out of a need for services for individuals with developmental disabilities. While there is certainly a need for educational and social opportunities for school-aged children, the greatest need presents itself when kids graduate high school. Parents often say their kids with disabilities graduated from high school to the couch! On graduation day, the students lose access to learning, exercise, friends and community. Most graduate without a job and a critical lack of supported housing forces students to remain at home with parents indefinitely. PawsAbilities is a part of Inclusion Connections and it’s an innovative, buzzworthy employment program for young adults with developmental disabilities. We empower individuals by providing skills training leading to placement in meaningful jobs. (And yes, we love dogs too!).
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Marketing and Events Coordinator to join our team. As an Marketing and Events Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, marketing, and executing various events. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a passion for Marketing and event planning and a desire to create memorable experiences for our clients.
Responsibilities:
-Manage Mobile Events-Manage the day-to-day coordination of the organization’s mobile events which include Mobile Pop-Ups, Farmers Markets and multi-day Community Events.
- Schedule events in accordance with organizational calendar ensuring the large annual events are given priority.
- Work with Director of Community Engagement with annual calendar of evenets.
- Process all event paperwork/contracts taking note of special procedures for each event.
- Plan out products and equipment taken to each event utilizing the event check list.
- Ensure POS systems are charged and set up for each event location.
- Recruit and communicate with staff for each event including paid staff, volunteers and students.
- Oversee and participate in the set up and tear down of all large multi-day events.
- Communicate with organizations Social Media Coordinator to promote.
- PawsAbilities Marketing and Sales-Promote sales of Paws products at mobile events, on-line and in store.
- Maintain Square, Faire and PawsKC website ensuring new and seasonal products and displayed and promoted.
- Develop marketing plan to increase sales (Faire, on-line, wholesale)
- Create materials to promote sales
- Analyze products that need to be discontinued and make suggestions for new products.
- Utilize social media to encourage product sales.
- Continually evaluate displays and products to maximize sales.
- Keep the store welcoming with product placement and seasonal displays.
- Increase recurring monthly treat orders.
-Wholesale Accounts-Manage and recruit wholesale accounts.
- Communicate regularly with current wholesale accounts showing appreciation, announcing new and seasonal products and sharing an impact story.
- Create and manage wholesale accounts on PawsKC.org.
- Add all wholesale contacts to CRM tracking communications.
