Job Summary
The Marketing and Programs Manager plays a crucial role in advancing the mission of Seleni Institute by developing and executing strategic Marketing and communication initiatives. They will drive brand awareness, engage stakeholders, and promote services, resources, and advocacy efforts related to perinatal mental health. The ideal candidate is a proactive and creative individual who is passionate about making a meaningful impact on mental health within the parental population.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Marketing and Communications Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive Marketing and Communications strategies to raise awareness of the organization's mission and services.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify target audiences, trends, and opportunities for growth and engagement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing initiatives with organizational goals of increasing revenue in training.
- Strategize and assist in implementation of fundraising efforts.
Brand Management:
- Ensure consistent branding and messaging across all Marketing and communication channels.
- Develop and maintain brand guidelines and standards to uphold a strong and recognizable brand identity.
- Oversee the creation of marketing materials, including brochures, digital assets, and promotional materials.
Digital Marketing and Online Presence:
- Develop, maintain and manage the organization's website and optimize content to enhance user experience and drive traffic.
- Design content and utilize social media platforms to engage and interact with the target audience, sharing relevant content and fostering a community.
- Implement email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and online advertising to reach potential clients, donors, and stakeholders.
- Develop and implement international distribution strategy for the organization’s trainings.
- Utilize and maximize training platform information for marketing efforts – i.e. Hubspot, Teachable
Public Relations and Media Relations:
- Cultivate relationships with media outlets and journalists to secure coverage for the organization's initiatives, events, and achievements.
- Draft press releases, media pitches, and key messaging to effectively communicate the organization's story and impact.
- Handle crisis communications and manage the organization's reputation in the public domain.
Event Planning and Outreach:
- Plan and execute events, workshops, and webinars aimed at promoting mental health awareness and education within the maternal and parental community.
- Collaborate with external partners and stakeholders to expand outreach and participation in events and programs.
Collaboration and Team Leadership:
- Foster a collaborative and innovative cross-team culture, encouraging new ideas and approaches to achieve organizational objectives.
- Understanding the needs of the organization and implementing marketing plans to meet those needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
- Proven 5-7 years of experience in Marketing and Communications, specifically within the non-profit or healthcare sector, with a focus on mental health or related issues.
- Strong interest in perinatal mental health issues and a genuine passion for advocating in this space.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for various audiences and mediums.
- Proficiency in utilizing digital marketing tools, social media platforms, email marketing software, and content management systems.
- Experience in event planning and execution, including virtual events and webinars.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Solution-oriented, creative thinker, adaptable.
- Nice to have: Development, fundraising, healthcare and non-profit experience.

Start Date: January 2024
Salary: $100-$110k
Location: New York, NY (Preferred). Position will operate in a hybrid work environment, ideally with a 2 days in office, 3 days remote split, subject to operational needs.
