UNDERSTANDING THE ROLE
CCS Fundraising is seeking a self-motivated, reliable, and detail-oriented Marketing and Business Development Coordinator to join the Central US team to support the strategy, planning, coordination, and execution of conferences, events, and speaking engagements as well as the development of Business Development and sales materials. The successful candidate is extremely organized, communicative, detail-oriented, energetic, and calm under pressure, while managing multiple projects at once. Please note that this is not a sales or lead generating position.
This is a full-time role and an excellent opportunity to build a career in a mission-driven, growing company. Must be willing to travel domestically.

DUTIES
Marketing (50%)
- Conference management:
- Maintain conference calendar with regular updates
- Coordinate industry conference logistics, including exhibitor display and collateral, registrations, and schedules
- Develop pre- and post-conference attendee communications
- Draft internal pre-conference briefing notes for staff
- Event and speaking engagement management:
- Maintain speaking proposal calendar with regular updates
- Oversee the coordination of speaking proposals for external conferences and events
- Develop content and prepare collateral for events including name tags, table tents, registration packets, etc.
- Compile invitation lists and maintain RSVP lists
- Develop pre- and post-event correspondence
- Maintain detailed activity tracking
- Additional Activities:
- Source and manage relationships with nonprofit associations and organizations for potential event partnership
- Support development and implementation of marketing campaigns, e.g. draft outreach language, create and update contact lists, and help execute mass and targeted marketing outreach
- Keep a pulse on nonprofit organizations and relevant industry trends to inform Marketing and Business Development activity
- Additional tasks as needed to support marketing activity within our region
Business Development (50%)
- Support the Central US Executive Team in moving leads through the sales pipeline by advancing Business Development and sales activities, including:
- Writing and designing customized sales proposals, RFPs, memos, and other supporting materials, in coordination with the Central US Executive Team
- Preparing for sales meetings through presentations, research, briefing forms, and executing appropriate follow up
- Joining lead introduction meetings, as appropriate
- Work with team systems coordinator to ensure CRM database is up-to-date
- Collect and maintain information on client projects for use in corporate and regional marketing materials
- Additional tasks as needed to support the sales process
Skills/Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree (communications, business administration, marketing, public relations, English, or another applicable field)
- Minimum of one to two years of relevant experience preferred
- Excellent writing and proofreading
- Able to adapt writing and design for multiple audiences and purposes
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Creative, resourceful, and meticulous attention to detail
- Self-starter able to drive activity in a fast-paced environment
- Friendly and professional demeanor who can work collaboratively with a team and with multiple management styles
- Advanced knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Experience with InDesign, Photoshop, Canva, and/or other graphic design platforms is a plus
- Marketing automation experience (specifically Marketo/Monday.com) is a plus
- CRM experience (specifically NetSuite/Monday.com) is a plus
- Knowledge of fundraising and nonprofit sector is a plus
