Market Research Assistant Or Research Associate

SNG Research is a full-service custom primary Market Research firm in Rochester, MN with a rare opening for a full-time Research Assistant or Research Associate (position and compensation DOE). This is a hybrid role, working primarily remotely but with the ability to be present in our Rochester office as needed.
I deal candidate will have education and experience in Market Research, with emphasis in survey methodology and/or statistics. Command of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is a must, while experience with software related to Market Research data collection (online and CATI), programming, data manipulation/tabulation, and analysis is a plus. Software we use includes Forsta, SPSS, and WinCross.

• Extreme attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills
• Team mindset, while still being self-motivated and adept at working independently to learn new things, complete tasks, meet deadlines, and exceed client expectations
• Aptitude for numbers/statistics/programming/scripting
• Proven ability to get up to speed quickly on new software/tools

We are a small firm, so everyone has their hands on every aspect of the business. Specific responsibilities include:

• Programming, testing, deploying, and managing online and CATI surveys, as well as providing support for mail surveys, in-depth interviews, and focus groups (bonus if you have focus group moderator training)
• Sample management throughout data collection, including working with 3 rd party sample/panel providers
• Data quality control, manipulation, tabulation, and statistical testing
• Providing input on proposals and questionnaires, as well as assisting with client-facing reports and presentations
• Assisting in the development, maintenance, and implementation of privacy and security policies and related documentation
• Assessing and implementing software, technology, and techniques to help the company work efficiently and effectively
