MBT Bank is seeking an experienced Bank Market President to lead our Rochester, MN location. Our Rochester location was established in April 2012.
A successful candidate would be goal driven with a background in commercial and agricultural lending, willing to engrain themselves in the Rochester community to network and grow a customer base, able to lead by example to execute MBT Bank’s mission and vision statement and support branch operations to ensure customers’ needs are met. This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the succession plan for our current Market President.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Market President’s main role is to provide leadership and execute business development strategies to maintain a high-quality market branch. Responsible for helping achieve the Bank’s overall financial success and strategic direction. Work to monitor quality, compliance, and trends of bank services, loan portfolio and deposits. Support bank operations to facilitate outstanding customer interactions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
- Implements business development strategies to grow the commercial and agricultural loan portfolio for the market branch by identifying and analyzing potential loan markets and executes opportunities with existing and prospective customers.
- Extensive knowledge of all bank products and services in order to successfully develop and maintain high quality deposit relationships.
- Builds relationships with stakeholders in the community. Projects a positive presence of the MBT Bank brand in the marketplace through participation in community activities and marketing opportunities.
- Ensure customer retention along with revenue generation while staying in accordance with loan policy guidelines and underwriting standards to ensure maximum profitability and minimize potential losses. Make credit decisions within lending authority. Ability to accurately interpret Federal laws, State laws, and banking regulations to maintain overall compliance.
- Maintains knowledge of all MBT products and services and makes referrals to MBT Insurance, MBT Investments or Retail Bankers as appropriate.
- Supports branch operations to ensure customers’ needs are met and business objectives are achieved. Actively facilitates outstanding service to bank customers through individual interactions and management of staff performance.
- Ensures policies and procedures are followed to maintain the safety and soundness of the bank.
- Provides leadership and direction to all branch staff to ensure performance objectives are met by building and maintaining an effective and integrated team within the branch.
Education and/or Experience: Preferred Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in business, finance, or related field and/or at least 10 years’ experience in lending and prior supervisory experience.
